These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of InboxShield ("the App", "we", "our", "us"), a Shopify application that helps reduce unwanted contact form spam. By installing or using InboxShield, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

InboxShield is a spam filtering application for Shopify stores. It intercepts contact form submissions, scores them against a rule-based spam engine, and blocks messages that exceed the configured spam threshold. Clean messages are delivered to the merchant's inbox as normal.

InboxShield helps reduce unwanted messages but does not guarantee the elimination of all spam. The effectiveness of filtering depends on the nature of submissions and the strictness settings configured by the merchant.

2. Eligibility

To use InboxShield, you must:

• Have an active Shopify store.
• Be authorized to install applications on that store.
• Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. Plans and Billing

Free Plan: Includes 50 protected messages per month, 3 strictness levels, and built-in keyword categories at no charge.

Premium Plan: $4.99/month, billed through Shopify. Includes unlimited protected messages, custom keyword filters, trusted sender whitelist, and priority support. A 7-day free trial is available for new Premium subscribers.

All billing is handled through Shopify's billing system. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice. You may cancel at any time through your Shopify admin.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use InboxShield for any purpose other than filtering contact form submissions on your Shopify store.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the application.
• Use the App to collect, harvest, or misuse personal data from form submissions.
• Circumvent or abuse the free plan message limits.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

5. Data Handling

Our data collection and handling practices are described in our Privacy Policy. By using InboxShield, you acknowledge that:

• We collect sender email addresses, message previews (max 100 characters), and IP addresses for spam scoring.
• All data is automatically deleted after 90 days.
• All data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App.

6. Availability and Support

We strive to keep InboxShield available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

Free plan users receive standard support. Premium plan users receive priority support through the in-app support channel and our chat widget.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• InboxShield is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for any missed spam messages, incorrectly blocked legitimate messages, or any resulting business impact.
• Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of InboxShield shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

InboxShield, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of its developers. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App on your Shopify store as described in these Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using InboxShield at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. Upon termination, all your data will be permanently deleted.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of InboxShield after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
